Recording with real head-no cab?

can you connect a tube head and use the 11 racks effects, cabs and audio interface into a daw for silent recording?

USB port damaged

my usb port got fried during a storm. can i hook the 11 rack direct to an audio interface without needing to use the usb port. maybe use the line out of the 11 rack to line in of the interface,...

it's gotta be the usb port. i've tried different cables, different computers but no luck. i guess i'll go back to chewing on cables. :D

the usb chord is the one i was just using 2 days ago with my 11r and my old pc. i'll get it working thanks for the suggestions.

the cable works i had no problems with it when i hooked up my pod hd. windows 7 is 64 bit. still trouble shooting. what does cycle the 11r mean?

i'm assuming it had something to do with firefox because the only thing i did different to make it work was switching to internet explorer. i'm just guessing but maybe it didn't download correctly...

it took my editor a long time to go from a blank screen to the actual editor, like 3 or 4 minutes

FYI in case anybody else has this same problem. when i used firefox to download the editor it would go through the installation process but wouldn't actually install it. i switched to internet...

yeah it's not there either. i couldn't ever get the editor installed with pro tools, i was hoping this would work. i have all the current drivers but still can't get it. must be something with my pc.
