The difference is that the clipping on the input of the 11R is a nasty solid sate clipping, not the nice tube clipping of an old amp. But, I don't use any of the Fender models, I use the plexi, vox,...

My 11R is definitely clipping on the input meter when I noticed it, adjusting the output did nothing. But I can control it with the true Z settings. I use pups that mostly fall in the PAF to hot PAF...
