This has nothing to do with bit depths or bouncing. Check your iTunes Preferences. Disable the Sound "Enhancement" option. It really ****s up any sound you put through it...

Logic 6 for OS-X has MP3-export and Logic Setup Assistant and you CAN'T use VST-plug-ins, only Logic's own or Audio Units. The lack of VST-support is my main reason for not being interested to change...
