That’s not my screen shot. It’s musiclee’s. I meant the prefs that have the red line around them in the screen shot.

I have no idea if that will do anything. It’s just a suggestion.

I was just having this issue today and power cycled the Dock. This fixed the issue. Have you done a complete power cycle lately?

You might want to block out your Apple ID on that screen grab.

That's all it takes on my system to get the tabs. Seems the same for everyone else. Perhaps you have some other software running...

Why don’t you post a pic of your settings? Everyone else has shown theirs proving that this works on both Ventura and Sonoma.

You should post of video of this behavior. It is very hard to understand or determine the issue with just the description.

In your original post you mentioned Clips Bin but then said you’re dragging tracks. Are you dragging clips or tracks?

If clips then check your drop order. Is it Top to Bottom or Left to Right?

Yes. However, I’m on Ventura. Not really sure why that would make a difference unless Apple or Avid broke this for Sonoma.

I suspect that since Spotify outputs audio at 16/44.1 but your session is at 32/48 that this is part of the problem. Pro Tools is trying to match the bit rate and sample rate of the incoming signal...

No. this is a Mac settings.

Preferences>Desktop & Dock>Windows & Apps> Prefer tabs when opening documents [Always]

Go back to Pro Tools and close either the Mix Window or Edit Window. Then...

I would try DxRevive. You could also try the restore capabilities inside Descript
Or Adobe Podcast. They might work some magic for free.

This depends entirely on the type of distortion. Is it digital or analog?

You’re running an unsupported version of Pro Tools on Sonoma. You’re probably running several other plugins that are not supported on Sonoma as well. This doesn’t surprise me that Pro Tools crashes.
