Has the length of renewal problem for perpetual users been fixed yet? I plan to buy at least one before the price increase but would prefer not to have to hassle with support over the dates.

I haven't seen the GUI issue you describe, but I can confirm that the interrupted playback is still there 100% of the time in 2023.12.
