I heartily second Ale's motion; digi, please give us the preference to not delete fade files from disk when removing them from sessions..........it can take more than an hour to rebuild fade files on...

the tricks we're talking about are tricks for the mix, not for laying tracks.

easy method, no aux, or other confusion.

take a stereo pair, output it to 1/2.
duplicate the stereo pair, output...

oh whoops just noticed that i didn't read you post carefully. i gave you a similar trick.

that trick is usually accomplished with a mixing board, of which a decent one will have a phase reverse...

another ps, laro, in my experience scsi drives are a lot louder than either firewire or ide, so you'll want to get some kind of enclosure for your drives if you decide to go that route. firewire is...

ps, laro, as someone said above, dealmac is great, if they don't have any big deals, you could try otherworld computing, a 120 gig firewire drive is about 300 bucks.
