Re: Anyway to mitigate noise reduction artifacts?

Try the Zynaptiq plugins Unchirp and Unfilter. Sometimes they help...a little.

Re: What are people's experiences with Auto-Align-Post?

Re: What are people's experiences with Auto-Align-Post?

Definitely prefer the sound of a well-placed boom.

When this first came out I thought, "Eh, but I've gotten pretty good at manual alignment when I need it and it's rare to mix sources, don't need...

Re: Offline Bounce with Hardware Insert?

Same here; can't chose.

I use it as and Aux directed only to a Sub (well, via the main FX Master LFE). I have an EQ ahead of it, 18dB/octave @120Hz. Then, I put a send on whatever FX channel needs...

Re: Offline Bounce with Hardware Insert?

I agree. Same reason I have 2 Bricastis for my music tracks.

But I have Lowender hard bypassed on the same bus and I'll swap it with the DBX 120 insert for WIP faster than real-time bounces to...

Re: Memory Locations Categories

This.

Create tracks for categories of need. Create clip groups on those tracks for the length of the cue. Lots of typing space.

Re: Is anyone doing remote playback to browsers for clients?

This takes a bit to setup, and you'll have some complications on your end with talkback -- only solution I found was using streaming video out of PT...

Re: Bounce to Quicktime alternative workflow

You are talking about Quicktime in general in Catalina. I said,
And the original query was Rich Breen, not me.

Re: Bounce to Quicktime alternative workflow

Yes, this is pretty standrd for now, but this won't work in Pro Tools in Catlina as Quicktime is a 32bit Application.

I don't know (yet) how to do this in Catalina. Not sure what the MXF options...

Re: Pro Tools playing back wrong video file?

Yes! It's way faster than MPEG Stremclip, Media Encoder, FFMPEG, Compressor. And you can batch! And it's cheap!

Re: No option Bounce to quick time

This happened to me once with DNxHD. I disabled the Video Engine. Closed Pro Tools. Restarted Computer. Relaunch Pro Tools. Re-enabled Video Engine. Try that.

Re: Surround audio extending into black

You have to fade the Delay Aux to 0 or risk have it CHOPPED off at the LFOA.

Don't edit them past the LFOA?

How does the Upmixing process add time?

Either toe in (bring towards the center) slightly the L+R, or try this:

Re: Surround Reverb Plug-In’s

Try UPMIXING it. I do that with an old Yardstick Backyard preset. And a couple other stereo only options.

I am off of convolution for the most part as it can be difficult to get rid of that that...

Re: Final Cut Pro X to Pro Tools

Frank is correct, FCPX only does XML. EdiLoad does not read XML's.

Re: How to setup dialogue reverb for surround?

Has anyone told Ben Burtt that he can't put Jabba The Hutt's voice in the LFE (baby boom) for Return of the Jedi? When was that released? On The 12th of Never?

Like Todd, I've used it for...

Re: Mixing a Theatrical Trailer

Hi,

Make sure it is LEQ(m), not (a). Measure the 'content' including the LFE. For this you will need the Dolby Media Meter 2 or WAVES WLM. And that's it.

As to 5.1 + Stereo, up to Distributor....

Re: Timecode and minutes:seconds not matching up

How is Avid to "fix" this? This is how Timecode works. It is counted in frames. 29.97 and its counter(Har!)-part 23.976 run slower than the Wall Clock. These frame rates are very slightly longer in...

Re: How to generate a music log from a studio show (PT & EdiLoad)

Hi,

I always appreciate when people share workflows, so, as you say, "cheers". I don't work on Studio Shows with music playback, so I am not sure exactly what the end result is or what it is used...
