Hey man I had that problem.... the solution??
simple, just check that the "name" of your lacie is not too long.... I dunno how long but use say, "Audio drive" see if it works.....

Hey dude!!

I dunno if this helps but I had a similiar problem with my Lacie.....
And the solution was bloody simple....
for some reason my misus changed the name of my drive and it was toooooo...
