Re: How to make a "grid" out of a drum track to beat detective a tambourine to.

Re: original mbox interface not being noticed in logic or system prefrences?!

There is actually a 3rd-party driver that works just fine with Mbox1 and Yosemite. I've confirmed it myself. It's not at all free, but you can try the demo, it "beeps" every 30 seconds:...

Re: Solo/Mute Issues?

Sorry I can't help with the problem you have with the session.
But I always found that I have two choices with the solo-safe and bussing to aux thing: Either I solo-safe the tracks and not the aux,...

Re: Solo/Mute Issues?

Don't you just want to solo-safe the tracks running to that aux?
Maybe I'm missing something here.

Re: after 5 years it may be time for a new build

That is what I always preferred.
One thing that is very nice about it is that you can upgrade, install stuff and modify the everything-else-partition without worrying about screwing up the PT...

Re: PT 11 Not Recognizing My Upgraded RAM-3rd party bug fixed

If I understood you correctly, your test session had many VI's and plugins but no recorded audio, and that is mostly taxing the cpu. Try running a session with 40 tracks of audio (and no plugins) and...

Re: Let's cut the BONK!

Are you familiar with the "boost first to cut later" technique? Make a sharp (high-Q) mid-frequency filter that you boost alot - then drag it up and down the freq spectrum until you find the "bonk"....

Re: I guess I'm a NO BRAINER!

I'm sorry, "panel" is the wrong word.
I mean, in both the edit and mix windows you can choose to have visible or not; the inserts, sends, comments and so on, for the tracks. You choose them either...

Re: I guess I'm a NO BRAINER!

Not shure if this is any help but I remember having troubles with instrument tracks losing contact with my midi controller in PT9. After a while I found that I could reconnect in a panel that I had...

Re: Can't save or open some sessions due to not having access privileges

Just a small but important note about "Apply to enclosed items":

This is a VERY potent procedure. If you use this on the wrong folder, it can render your boot disk unusable. I did this once on a...

Re: Need help with my new macbook and pro tools

... or partition your disk and create a dual-boot setup. You will of course need a OS X install disk with a version that PT9 is compatible with, f.ex 10.6.8.
