In my experience it can be really bad!
Avoid if possible, unless its a really simple project.
It strips off all metadata as a matter of course, so you can forget about field recorder workflow...

I thought Macs could be backdated to the OS they originally shipped with, which was Catalina for the 7,1.
It certainly won't run Mojave, but I'm using PT on a 7,1 with Catalina and everything works...

I'm using PT2020.11 on a Mac 7,1 with Catalina and all is fine.
Bounce to QT now works (even though it says its in beta still), you can import a video and its sound to a track as before and...

I managed to get it working by changing to en1 in Dante Via preferences.


LDS, MTRX Studio definitely does show up in Dante Via. You can then use Via to route outputs...

I used to have 2 outputs from my MTRX Studio going to Dante, which showed up in Dante Via. I was then able to route these outputs through Dante via to use them as a stereo send for remote mixing in...

HD Native Thuderbolt Core Audio Driver in Catalina?

Is anybody using the Native HD core audio Driver in Catalina?
I just tried to use it for multichannel in Sound Particles and it's greyed out in the list of drivers.

Lock Pan Window on PT Control to Expanded Size

I would love it if the Pan window in PT Control could be made to stay at the expanded size when moving around a Pro Tools session.
Currently it will stay large as long as you don't attention...

I'd guess they mean a Contentious Dialogue track or tracks.
Breaths, kisses, etc etc.
Stuff that they may or may not use in creating the M&E.
I could be wrong though, the safest thing is to ask....

I recently became so frustrated with this 20021 and other random crashes right when I was in a fast flow of working, that I've tried using Video Slave rather than the AVE....

I'll check he has 8.4.
Its quite cool that we can use the same plugins now.
Someday we may have full integration...

Mildly off topic for the DUC but.....
Does anyone know where Media Composer puts its audio plugin presets folder?
I'm trying to send a set of presets for an Editor to try in his session.

There's an app called 'SD2 fixer' I've had some success with on Mac.
Sometimes you still have to manually add the .sd2 extension.
