Is my Compaq Presario 2100 with a 4200 rpm 40 GB frive not going to work now??
It tested fine but now I am not sure what to do I have one day left before I have to keep it??

O.K Here goes.
I ran the test with an ads firewire enclosure and a Western Digital 40gb @7200 rpm.
Compaq Presario 2100 (2175)
Athlon xp-m 2400 1.8ghz
512 266 ddr
40gb system drive

Are you still having probs with your 6.1 auth.??
Did you uninstall 5.3 and full install 6.1 and it still gave you an authorization error?

OK. here is some more.

I did the Davec test and the results were.

27 tracks with the recomended effects.
I had to reduce the track count to ad aux's.

This was on the primary drive.

Install went fine.
Played the demo in a loop for an hour..O.K
Recorded4 tracks and played with them a bit.. O.K
