Big 9060 troubles.

I am getting 9060 errors and sometimes the system crashes. Also have these loud clicks in the audio. I will record a track and there will be spots where there looks like a flat line in the wave...

Not sure where you bought the systyem or what sort of things you were told, but a Mix Core DSP alone is quite limited and anyone in the industry knows that. Add a Mix Farm and you can do quite a bit....

OWC had my Elite's already with MacOS Extended, so no need to erase disc. I just plugged them in and started recording. Check your email.

Just listen to any of these so called "artists" that are out now, on a live performance. It is a freekin' joke how bad they are. BTW, they all were in ear monitors to boot....

Card slot order is d24,3 farms, Sonnet Tango firewire card, video card. OWC911 7200 rpm drives, Apple HFS Extended format, 9.0.4 w/Apple 2.8.6 drivers...

Those are my only PT drives now. SCSI card is history. I am pulling 32 tracks no problems, running d24 w/5.0.1. Had a couple of 9072 errors here and there along with some audio clicking...

Actually, there are a few threads somewhere in the recent archives addressing this. Orange Micro seemed to continuously have some issues. I bought the Sonnet Tango and it works fine(plug and play)...

I got them off of the OS 9.2 intsaller disc. When I check "info" on the finder it says 2.8.6

Actually I think I would be 7, but beyond the memory there are lots of plugs now that won't even run on the old DSP cards, plus you have to have them modified to run in G4's.

Well, after messing around with extensions, resetting memory in PT and DAE, I disabled the DAM drivers and Whallah, clicking in audio playback was gone, both of my firewire drives mounted....
