How To Monitor S/PDIF Inputs

I recently hooked up my Yamaha MO8 to my Digi 002 via the digital S/PDIF inputs. It seems I can monitor the keyboard coming into the S/PDIF ins only if I record-enable the track. Which means that...

Vanishing Bounces!

Yes, I'm having the same problem -- vanishing bounces! But it has no correlation to the program's length. After much testing, I'm finding that an :18 bounce will disappear, but a :19 second or a...

Re: PT LE 7.0 - Disable Latch Solos?

Actually, it has now been moved out of the preferences panes. You can now find it under the "OPTIONS' menu.

Options -> Solo Mode -> X-OR (Cancels Previous Solo)

MP3 Files Too Large!

I have the mp3 option and for years it's been hassle-free.

However, as of recently, many of my Bounce-To-Disk to mp3 results in file sizes appropriate for aif or wav, but not for mp3's.

In...

Re: Separate Hard Drive vs. Partition

Thanks gentlemen, but I decided to go ahead and plunk down another $85 to get a new 80GB serial drive, no point in skimping now, I'm this far gone.

Wow, roughly a buck a GIG. For my first...

Sharing Plugin Settings

Is there a section on this forum, (I'm new to the DUC, it's great!), where users can swap plugin settings? Like let's say I was looking for a great vocal reverb setting...

Is there such a section...

Re: Mac Dual 2.5Ghz Problem

So the consensus is that I shouldn't be on the phone giving an earful to the poor customer service gal at Mac Warehouse, that this isn't a faulty unit but rather a technical issue between Digi and...

Separate Hard Drive vs. Partition

I know it's an old argument, but I'm wondering if there's been a consensus on the subject.

I got my new G5 and was planning to pop my old 40Gb hard drive from my G4 in there to serve as my audio...

Re: Mac Dual 2.5Ghz Problem

Yep, you guys nailed it!

I plugged into the front port instead of the back, and voila! No worries.

So, in summary, are you saying that it's a faulty firewire port, (and therefore I should be...

Mac Dual 2.5Ghz Problem

Just set up my brand spankin' new dual 2.5ghz G5, only to find my ProTools 6.4 LE on a Digi002 Rack doesn't want to play nice. Digi doesn't yet say it's compatible with the the dual 2.5, which means...

Midi Log Jams in PT6

One of my biggest frustrations with ProTools 6.x currently is the poor handling of midi. When I'm laying down a new midi track, sometimes the midi being triggered will play and record just fine. More...
