Re: PT6: WinKey+click to create tempo change
Maybe I'm wrong but I don't think the win key has a function in ProTools, it strictly opens the start menu in windows (which may explain why your window minimizes). If you are trying to port-over...

Re: Can you bounce a MIDI track to disk?
Ok, here's how to do it. This assumes:
1. You have your midi data recorded in ProTools.
2. You have the Midi out from your digi interface connected to the midi in of your device.
3. You have...

Can\'t find new BF Plugs
I have installed the free BF plugs twice, and they're not showing up in the plugins list. I have tried deleting the files in the DAE Prefs folder but they're still not showing up. Using 5.3.1 on Xp...

Re: Midisport 4X4 Configuration
The best way it just to hook each of your devices up to it's own jack on the 4x4. So the triton gets 1 set of in's & out's and so on. Then you can patch them into each other in Protools using the...

Actually, I have used the multicom in a live environment and own a RNC. If you're looking for color then the RNC is not really a great unit since it is very transparent and is really a probably one...

Re: mashall tube mics (anyone up for some light reading)
I actually have the 2001 mic, and it's not great and not bad either, kind of a general use mic. Most people who use the MXL mics would agree that the 2001 is the worst of the lot. I have found the...

Re: Recording a dry guitar
Aux tracks allow you to monitor a signal from the Digi's inputs or one of the internal busses but does not respond to a recording channel - so the sound on an AUX track is always "live" or some other...

Re: OT-A Way To Find Out The Frequency Response Of A Home-Made Speaker?
I don't know, although you can't get the true frequency response of your speakers without an anechoic chamber, you may be able to get a much more useful measurement - the response of your speakers IN...

1. You don't play melodic lines on instruments that you either don't own or don't own good imitations of -- you don't need...
