Update. The cause of the peaking was the session was a 48k and the audio was 44.1. With a 44.1 session, there is no peaking.

Thank you for the reply. Do you think they are mastering to zero and these are just inter-sample peaks? Everything I'm playing is peaking +0.3 - +0.8. Since it's supposed to be lossless for the Tidal...

Was able to do 502 instances of Dverb on 128 96khz tracks. More than that and I would get an AAE error, can't get audio from the drives fast enough. The lowest buffer I could set was 128.

I'll double check tonight on the buffer and post results. I'll try recording more than a minute and see if I can get the mini fan to kick in while running all the dverbs.

Was doing some CPU tests last night.


Had 128 tracks at 96khz, recorded about a minute of audio and then punched in 128 tracks with pre and post roll, everything was smooth, CPU was about 1-2%

Thanks, I could see that being a benefit but can't justify the price bump. My Thunderbolt 3 enclosure is for HDX and UAD. The drives are just external TB3 drives from Lacie. It's not as fast as SSD...

Apple will never make another computer with PCIe slots. Thunderbolt 3 is better anyways, you could have 3 HDX cards and 3 UAD cards all connected to one computer via expansion boxes, can't do that...

Not sure if it's possible without HDX. Even in native if I remember correctly only 1 stereo output is low latency, whereas HDX any and all outputs can be low latency.

EDIT: Resolved. I did the trouble shooting and reinstalled the driver. Not sure which fixed it but it's working now.

I had to wipe my hard drive and reinstall High Sierra. Everything is working...
