Re: 10.3.4 - who'll be the first?

After installing last night and working all day today on a large 96k session with a bunch of VIs, no problems to speak of.
Works just like it did before, only more 10.3.4-ish. Whatever that means.

Re: 10.3.4 - who'll be the first?

Got it. Ran a big (for me) session with about 50 audio tracks and 20 VIs, no problems as of yet. I'll give it a full day tomorrow and check back in with a full report.

Re: 10.3.4 - who'll be the first?

Installing it now. I am doing the Virtual Instruments install upgrade and it's been on the 'installation' part of it for a few minutes.
Maybe the VI installer isn't necessary, the old VIs and...

Re: Need help sharing complete songs

Be sure to 'get rid of unused audio regions in your session, then do a 'Save Copy In' and check the 'All Audio Files' box near the bottom left. As well as the 'Session Plug-In Settings'. This will...

Re: Sweetwater info on HD Native

No photoshop here. Did you happen to grab a screen shot? This is the third version of this paragraph I've seen today.

Sweetwater info on HD Native

Check out the screen shot I grabbed about an hour ago. It is now gone from Sweetwater's page. Oops on them, put it up too early.
Says it will also support PTLE and M-Powered, hmmm, interesting.

Re: Accurate trim (not just bar/beats cuts)

Have you tried using Slip mode in the upper left corner?
Or hit F2 on your keyboard. Then you will be able to edit in between beats. Hope this is what you needed.

Re: Elastic audio drum editing, is x-form broken in PT8!!???

Instead of using x-form, I would just use EA as normal, then when you want to commit your audio, select all and consolidate all regions. This will render the EA. You can then disable EA on all those...

Re: Overhead mics?

I've used Rode NT5s for a few years now, and just got some AKG C-451Bs.
If you need a really crisp sound, I go with the NT5s, and for a darker, more mellow sound, I use the AKGs.
As for placement,...

Re: I can't click anything in Pro Tools

I just had this problem today after installing Waves 7.1.
It didn't uninstall Waves 6.0.7 when it installed 7.1.

I simply moved all WaveShell 6.0.x files to an unused folder.
You can find those...

Re: Melodyne or Autotune?

I use both all the time. AutoTune usually works best with obvious tuning scenarios, like when you don't mind hearing AutoTune.

Melodyne has much better formant correction than AT and works better...

Re: How many visible tracks in LE

128 tracks visible. It won't let you create any more than that.

Re: Quantized MIDI piano part sounds swung?

Actually, the opposite of swung. It's early on the 8th notes, but only like every 3 notes or so. Did you check the real-time properties? Make sure the swing is set to 0.
What tempo did you have set...

When you recorded that last bit of audio. It looked like you had the track soloed? So no audio from either of the files was actually being sent to the recording bus.

Re: Engineer is giving my band information, IS IT THE TRUTH??

Re: Is it possible to...

You could make region groups in the session you want to import from. Then 'export region groups' in the Regions bin. Then in the session you are importing to, go to File, Import, Region Groups.

Wasn't meaning to be rude. Just trying to throw some humor on the subject. Offline bounce would be a great addition, i agree. I see that Kris75 has changed his signature to include my suggestion:-)

Re: OT: Best way to burn a 'Secret/Hidden' track on a CD.
