Very disappointed to see that there is still no ability to pan sends.
Particularly useful would be the ability to bring up a surround panner send.

This is the the primary business model for Pro Tools with it’s licensing system. They want users to buy in every year. They do this through new features (which are growing fewer and fewer)...

The AVE is tied to the overall system delay, which is to say, it has a start/stop lag that is the inverse of the delay compensation. After trying a million workarounds, including with tech support,...

Yeah, trashed them a few times now.

The lag follows the delay comp to whatever degree. So, by disabling video hardware and/or delay comp...

Here's a shot. Took the SyncHD offline. You can see the delay is tied to compensation.

Yes, I did indeed install the HD driver. This is a clean build from scratch, so there is no trace of the BM driver. Totally out of the equation.

@john1192 That’s interesting. Taking the I/O out of the equation the lag is MUCH better. Way snappy! Can’t work without an I/o, tho.
With the I/O, even a blank session with video has the lag.

I just installed a MacPro 2012 3.33, and , even with the faster processor, still getting the play start/stop lag...

Confirmed that another another system with the same MP specs is NOT having this issue. So, it would seem the CPU is not the issue.

You are correct, using MP 5,1 towers. If that’s the case, we are hosed until the new modular MPs are released, as there is no way we’ll get approval for trash cans...

The tool is changing if you look in the header, but the problem is that the pointer is not changing. You have to move your pointer around like a crazy person while you hit the F...

Have this problem in 10. The workaround is via quick keys:

Source clip:
Control-Shift-C

Target clip:
Command-V

See if that works in 11.
