Re: Recalling layouts in snapshots

In S6L only the first layout is snapshottable. The rest are global.

Re: AVB Bug Fixed in OSX 10.13.2?

Not tested S3L yet, but with S6L (which does support High Sierra) we're getting mixed results and thus we don't recommend using it. In some of our machines with Mojave, one direction is just not...

Re: S3L-X / 4.5.3.3 hw inserts not working

I don't think reinstall will help. You should call VENUE Support and they will guide you.

Re: S3L-X / 4.5.3.3 hw inserts not working

I think you have a hardware failure (ribbon cable?) and you better call support.

Re: Routing an Aux to an Input fader

Sorry, for not being clear: when writing "low-delay" I meant low latency.

Re: Routing an Aux to an Input fader

Use some low-delay plug-in which would have Aux as an input and Input as an output. Then bypass that plug-in to make it no-op (note that delay will still be added).

Re: AVB Bug Fixed in OSX 10.13.2?

For S3L only. S6L with VENUE 5.7.1 has a workaround for this bug.

Re: VENUE Offline Editor doesn't start on high-res display

Hm, that's weird that scaling reverts.

Please try another thing: open properties of C:\Program Files (x86)\Digidesign\D-Show\GUI.exe and go to Compatibility tab. There choose "Override high DPI...

Re: VENUE Offline Editor doesn't start on high-res display

But why not setting 100% directly via combo box at display settings? In any case it's weird that 100% didn't help running VENUE.

What is your screen resolution as reported at that page?

Re: VENUE Offline Editor doesn't start on high-res display

Where did you adjust the scaling? Was it in <right-click on desktop> -> Display settings -> Scale and Layout?

In general I'd suggest asking on Facebook instead of DUC, because there you can get more folks to hear you and respond quicker.

Re: S6L as reliable front end for live recording

Basically yes. See http://avid.force.com/pkb/articles/en_US/Compatibility/What-are-the-system-requirements-for-Pro-Tools-with-S6L for more details.

However I'm not sure if you need to get Live...

Re: S3l - avb - pt playback/record

This has nothing to do with VENUE software and 4.6 update in particular. This has no influence on how much CPU is used on the Mac side.

Re: Questions about S6L

Mostly yes.

Yes. Keep in mind that in this case you will lose audio paths coming through the console (console I/O and ProTools).
