I also tried the "DigiTest" and it doesn't recognize any hardware, but it looks as if it is only looking for Avid HD Hardware.

I checked my program files, and the only driver I have is an HD...

I do have an iLok and iLok 2. The only place it gave me a choice to install HD vs non HD was before the download. I did not have that option afterward.

What is the benefit of dithering?

i know this is a newbie question, but if my ending bit rate is going to be 16, why not track in 16?

i am assuming that there are sonic benefits to tracking...

I typically track in 16/44...is this optimum, or should I be tracking in 16/48, 32/48, etc....?

My priority is sound quality.
I don't typically require a lot of tracks.

I have upgraded to PT 8 and am having issues with EZ Drummer. It will open initially, but once it is closed, it is closed forever....

Anybody know about this?
