I believe A8V-deluxe MB has both VIA and Promise SATA controllers. So you will need to install both divers per gerax's instructons if you want to add 3 SATA drives.

I've had similar problem recently. Assuming that you do have the proper Promise and VIA drivers for SATA controllers installed, my advice get Partition Magic. Drive will most likely show up there,...

That will work if only 2 drives, but still best to add another drive. BFD V.1.5 recommends installation of drum data(9GB samples)on own dedicated hard drive for better streaming. BFD RTAS plugin...

I have used Promise SATA378 driver without significant issue for over year. Promise SATA controller needed to be set to IDE mode in bios on my MB. Hope that helps.

I've partitioned my 160gb audio without issue, however I've heard there might be a loss in performance. Have not noticed a difference.

Which ASUS MB and which SATAcontroller? I would make every effort to reinstall original driver with correct controller on first computer before jumping ship.

I believe that would be on the Promise controller. Install Promise SATA378 driver and set Promise controller in bios to IDE Mode. That should allow you to run that 3rd Raptor HDD and SATA DVD...
