Re: What equipment do I need to do voice-overs?
First, make sure you don't forget the room - really well damped and isolated from outside noise. Otherwise, a dynamic...

Re: shuffle safe
I'll second that. I'd say that you should be able to make certain regions shuffle safe after you finished editing them but still have to edit others on the same track(s). I could almost feel new...

Re: Clicks in punch in points
B.Ray - The punches WERE made at the points you suggested, and many went fine with no clicks. I suspect that the problem rose whenever the player made a slight change to his phrasing, i.e. started a...

Clicks in punch in points
While doing some classical music recording I had to do many punches (to save editing time at the mix stage). I used destructive record mode to save disk space, because the player(s) made many false...

Re: Panning the REVERB ...? Lexicon mpx500.
What I think you have to do is to configure the MPX-500 for dual mono operation. Usually, most FX processors take one mono input (from one channel) and convert it to stereo reverb on both outputs....

Re: Phase Problems w/ Reverb
I had a similar problem once with a D-Verb. As soon as I unmuted the aux input I lost volume and presence, and no pre-delay or decay time changes cured it. When I routed the aux to another physical...

Re: mixing in pro tools
While mixing more than, say, 16 16-bit tracks in PTLE could eat a lot of power, it can be done if you know what you're doing. like the above aux track method, you can also use the physical analog...

Re: Quicker bounce-to-disk?
Thank you all for answering, though your answers tell me that I'll have to invest in another editor just because protools is flawed in this respect. I really wish they (digi) would solve it in a...

I remember reading that non-standard ATA drivers, like some UDMA-66 drivers, work SLOWER than the standard windows UDMA-33 drivers. Like Renan found out, it might be the problem.

Re: D-Verb RTAS for Pro Tools FREE Users
Sorry if someone already asked that one, but - is this special version of D-verb compatible with PTLE (AMIII or DIGI 001) or is it not? what you (DIGI) said was not very clear - something like "it's...

Re: Pro Tools FREE 5.0.1 \"Release 2\" is coming !!
Hi. A positive word - I really appreciate the effort reflected in "R2". As one who complained of some of the bugs that would (hopefully) be fixed now, I'd like to ask: what was the cause of the...

Re: SoundBlaster Live
Well, I did get it to work with an SBlive, P2-400 and 192 Mb ram. I think you should look in setups/hardware and change the default 44.1 sample rate to 48. Also, try to increase DAE buffer and...
