I believe all the big data recovery services have added Drobo to the list of proprietary RAID solutions they can recovery. Of course you're looking at 1-2 grand I'm sure.

Have multiple backups, onsite (Synology NAS, two of them) and offsite (Backupify).

Like being able to upgrade Drobo capacity by swapping drives out, 1 at a time, with larger ones.

Isn't there a break-in period on most BMWs for the first 1,000 miles or so when you're not supposed to really push it (high revs, etc.)? Congrats on the M6.

I believe the Drobo 5D includes a Thunderbolt cable now, despite what may be listed on their web site. Many Google reviews mention this and I think the black one I'm using came with mine.

It's $500 for no drives. For $680 you can get a 5D Drobo with five bays, Thunderbolt cable, optional SSD cache & the smarts of Drobo's style of RAID.

Code worked and reduced the price to 99.99.

Now downloading. Lots of files to download as you get a list of all instruments and some like Structure or Strike have many parts. Speed seems normal...

RAM & hard drive are probably all you'd want to upgrade. Just research & make sure the video card it comes with meets you specs & check how high you can upgrade the RAM. crucial.com is a good place...
