The only way to use the DSPs is Protools Ultimate. Now Avid makes the next step to destroy their perpetual licence option....

Apple is not hiding the installers... On Apple Support you will find Sierra and High Sierra...and the links to the app store for old macs, which cannot run Mojave or higer....

The biggest con is the limitation to 16 faders +1 of the dock.
The next thing is the position of some buttons, which works for live, but not...

Yes of course its discontinued, cause better hardware for lower prices is not worth to exist anymore.Better to sell a S4 with ALPS Faders for a price tag in the start for 24999 $ brings more money...

Yeah as bscout said... Look at the details page of your PTU Licence in the Ilok Manager and verify, that the release expiration date is the same, as your date of the support plan...

There are alot of alternatives to heat... Cranesong (the creator hof heat) has his own plugin line...Phoenix 2, Ra, Peacock...which are also aax DSP.
I use them very often and they have a great...
