via chipset 6407 and 6406 for the firewire is already good enough.

i also just found out TI doesn't have and firewire cards in the market.

you should not be using your computer sound card. everything un used are recommended to be disable to aviod further conflicts.

in this case i suggest that you disable your onboard sound card....

i have encounter this problem with one of my client's setup as well.

solved the problem by adding an additional firewire card
try buying a 1394 pci card.

it could be the same fault.

but it seems like after browsing for a few hours,

I discovered m audio FW 1814 which has better analog in
FW 1814 provides 4 analog in at 24/192khz

the 003 rack only provide 4 analog preamp...

ok as long as the ADC plugin takes care about the calculations, then it's all fine. adding delay compensation plugin is just like running a dummy bus with ADC plugin on it for the rest of the track...

i had just got information.
To work Protools M poweredd with UAD 1,
there will be latency problem which complicate alot of calculations problem with the buffer and sample size
