Sorry if this is a stupid question, but till now we've always recorded into Protools via mixing desk and 192 so initial levels are set at the desk.

However, sometimes be useful to record directly...

Can recommend ADR studios in central London, but don't know of any recordists who could do it in his room. Would only be a few minutes taxi ride though if he's staying in central London.

I believe it is fine to co-install Media Composer 3.5 or higher with PT 8. I think Media Composer 3 can only co-exist with PT 7.4.

Media Composer definitely seems a better bet in the long term....

Tried connecting monitor and keyboard which shows it gets through the bios post fine, but when the OS should load gives "GRUB Loading stage2Read Error". Googling that seems to show its a Linux error....

Thanks Frank, I was suspecting the drive already. haven't had a chance to test it today, but I'll connect a monitor to it and see if that sheds any light, and then connect the drive to a pc and run...

In order to use server-server relay you have to enable it at https://dgd.asperasoft.net/session/new

You need to set up an account on the Aspera server listing your Digidelivery server host...

Shouldn't matter. As long as you connect the Mojo to a Protools version greater than 7.1 it will upgrade the Mojo firmware so long as its either running on a PC or pre PCIe Mac. The Mojo doesn't then...
