Core audio driver for mbox

I downloaded the latest core audio driver and I have an mbox, however in preferences it's showing up as mbox 2. I double checked the compatibility charts and it states the driver works with the...

Re: Authoritative on RAID usage?

I personally don't care what their support stance is since I don't need to call their support line since I can get everything working fine myself. I have a 1TB Western Digital MyBook setup which is...

Re: WD MyBook Drive?

Just thought I would let anyone know who is interested in using the MyBook drives, I ran a 32 track session on my 1TB WDMyBook Premium II drive using PTLE 7.1.1. Everything ran just fine and this was...

Re: WD MyBook Drive?

Just picked up a WDMyBook 1TB and you can run it without RAID

I haven't tested RAID 0 or 1 with PTLE but I can at some point and see if it works ok.

Re: Mbox audio dropouts

Don't use the Digi wave driver pure and simple, it is rubbish. Just get a separate sound card for playing music/watching DVD's.

Re: Need Protools 7 cuz my OO2r is now a Brick.

I understand your frustrations however, pleading will not make them release version 7 faster. They have a release date set and will ship it when that day comes. What issues are you having? Perhaps I...

Re: Using 002 with Windows Media Player

You can use whatever you like. I have never had a problem ever with WMP10 and playing music through a Audigy 2 ZS or M-Audio Revo. The problems always stem from Digis half-assed wave driver.

Re: Using 002 with Windows Media Player

Ya, don't use the POS digi wave driver. Get another soundcard just for music like the M-Audio Revo.

Re: Windows Media Center 2005 Edition - Success Re

I totally agree with you, but I also use this system for gaming, DVDs and I want to use it for PVR too. I have tones and tones of ram and I have a DSP card for plugins.

Re: Windows Media Center 2005 Edition - Success Result

Thanks for the input, if anyone else cares to share their experiences with MCE2k5 it would be much appreciated. I just want to collect some data to see if we can get Digi to certify MCE with PTLE.

Windows Media Center 2005 Edition - Success Result

Just wanted to start a thread on wether people are having no problems on MCE2k5. A simple yes or no would do. If you have had problems just explain what you have run into and if you were able to...

Re: Just picked up a pair of Tapco S8 monitors

Re: Just picked up a pair of Tapco S8 monitors

Forget about the size of the room right now, have you looked at the specs? The Tapco sub cannot reproduce low enough frequencies.

Re: Mbox and monitors

Ya I forgot about the Presonus Central Station. It definately looks like that would be the right thing for my setup.

Re: What am I missing in this setup??

superpenguin79, Intel's new 945/955 chipset will support up to 8GB of DDR667MHz memory. Boards should be in stores in the next few weeks. Though I don't understand why anyone would want more than 2GB...

Re: Can\'t install w/o \"cannont find hardware\" error...

Re: few small problems need help with

Actually I don't like iTunes at all. It doesn't play certain formats I like and I don't find it as intuitive as WMP10.

Update: I installed QCD Player with the ASIO plugin, all is good. This is so...
