Re: Exponential Audio R4 for $29

And you get, if you so choose, RX7 Elements for free :-)

No you can't get a second Elements license

Re: Still no solution for Analog Summing delay compensation

You can still do that using outboard. You would only be listening to the return from the outboard coming back into PT anyways - you wouldn't be listening to both the outboard and return at the same...

Re: Check out this feature missing in Pro Tools

And that would be the death knell for PT. Do that and say goodbye to PT on Macs. Sure Microsnot does a smattering amount of s/w for Macs but it's a poor country cousin to their support for Windows.

Re: 2020.5 - Two Systems, one works works one Crashes

Can't help with the crashes but as to booting into the partition that has OSX 10.8.5 try this: change the startup drive in OSX preferences to the drive you want to boot into and reboot. Similarly...

Re: Macintosh moving to ARM

I've got nothing bad to say about Darryl's delivery - he speaks the truth snowflake. If you can't handle the blunt truth then go back to Gearslutz or wherever else you came from.

Re: Kontakt 6 on ProTools - Orchestral Composition

Looks like you may be answer this question ( I know it's a little OT but have to ask): know a good sax library that works in Kontakt6? I also have Play libraries but would like to stay away from them.

Re: Midi issues with sustain

There's nothing broken with the MIDI export so nothing to fix in that sense. What you're looking for is an added feature. That's not to say that there aren't serious bugs with PT's MIDI though.

Darryl is probably the smartest person here with his technical knowledgeable and if you can't handle the truth I suggest going back to...

Re: Midi Controller Sound Quality Issues

You may be a professional pianist but these two steps are wrong. Don't know where you got your info but vi's are not recorded at that level but at a level so that the loudest sounds don't clip.

Re: Midi Controller Sound Quality Issues

Playing very delicately is only part of the issue. Check the velocity curve that the Motif is sending out - you may have to tweak that. Also check the velocity curve that Addictive Keys is using -...

Re: Hurricane/Tropical Storm Isaias

You got that right. And you can't have two more different people running for President. Big government versus smaller government. I'm a small as possible government type of guy.

Re: Hurricane/Tropical Storm Isaias

Thanks. We got lucky - other parts of NJ - not so much.

Interesting doesn't even begin to describe this year so far.

Re: Sound Quality Issues

With zero system information it'a difficult to help. There's no such thing as TMI (too much info) when asking for help here. What exact audio interface do you have? What exact PT version? How are you...

Re: Midi issues with sustain

You would get better exposure with this new issue if you had started a separate thread. Doing it here won't get you the help you need (and isn't cool).

Re: Hurricane/Tropical Storm Isaias

The longest we were out in Trenton was 3 days during Superstorm Sandy. Had a freezer full of home made food. Thankfully we kept the freezer door shut and only ate canned food - we'd prepped ahead...

Re: Problem with instrument tracks

Did you open instrument view in the edit screen to check the MIDI routing on said instrument track? We all know that PT sometimes loses the routing.

Re: Problem with instrument tracks

I've fallen prone to that from some MIDI files I downloaded from the 'net. The other one I see is notes with zero length in the MIDI event list. Drives me batty.

Re: Problem with instrument tracks

Or volume automation.
I'd also check the MIDI driving whatever vi is in use to see if there's any messages there that shouldn't be. OP doesn't say what vi he's using.

Re: Hurricane/Tropical Storm Isaias

Personally unscathed. Trees - not so much. Wife and I spent almost 3 hours cleaning up the deadfall this afternoon. House and music space intact. Nerves are another matter.

Update:
Made it through okay for the most part. A lot of wind and rain but mostly as separate events. A lot of tree deadfall. Sat on the front porch with the wife watching the storm. Scary like you...

Hurricane/Tropical Storm Isaias

Can't say it hasn't been interesting. First this covid-19 stuff and now this storm coming up the US east coast. Looks like NJ is going to get hit hard with the storm appearing to track further west...

Re: 33 day countdown! Time to stick?

Agreed that auto-renew assumes you want to renew but iLok.com is decent enough to send out a notice like 10 days before the renewal date that renewal is due to happen. That gives you the option to...

Re: 33 day countdown! Time to stick?

Congratulations to those who pay attention to their support/update renewal dates. I didn't and shame on me for that. Opened email on July 31 and saw an email from PayPal about a $212.x charge and...
