Delta 1010 drivers.

Uninstall, then reboot, then install in admin mode....maybe also go for compatability mode.

Also backdate your 1010 drivers to something like two versions before.

Thing is, Win 8 runs way quicker than Vista and then Win 7.

PT10 works fine on my Win 8 machine after running the installer as Admin and also changing the permissions on the launcher exe file.

Do a search on the forum for that error. Its been covered quite comprehensively.

(Basically you might have to uninstall and reinstall but check the permissions on the installer and the launcher...

The Windows splash screen / No Monitor input issue sounds like the dreaded "Black Screen of Death" Windows 7 issue...

I had this and it was a nightmare....

Sometimes PC's can be very annoying with USB devices.

In device manager did you click on "show hidden devices"?

Sometimes if you do that you can see multiple USB devices conflicting with...

There are various solutions and workarounds to this issue on the forum...

Do a search (I solved this issue myself and am running PT10.3.2 on Win 8 no problems but did have the issue you described)

Make sure to be using Internet Explorer when authoring the iLok.

Chrome and Firefox create issues with active X control.
