Re: 001 INTERFERENCE?

No, this is not normal. There could be several things that could cause this including but not limited to:

- bad clock source. Make sure that the Pro Tools software is set to internal sync mode....

Re: \"disc not blank\" error message

I'm not sure that this is the cause but sometimes CDR extensions such as Toast CD reader can create problems with MLCD.

They can force the burner to act more like a reader than a writer at the...

Re: xt20 problems

It sounds like ppine is correct, with an Adat in the picture there can be several variables in the clocking which can result in clicks.

Your post doesn't give enough info to tell for sure but I...

Re: 442 I/O vs 882 I/O

Since the 442 and the original 882 are no longer made, I don't have easy access to any specs for the 442 I/O or for the original 882 I/O but I can tell you this.

The 442 I/O was a very good...

Re: Pro Tools 4.0

There are a couple of different FREE videos available here on the Digi website that can help but the best way is to use Pro Tools.

Once you've used it for a little while the manual can be much...

Re: Automating 2 seperate EQ plug-in settings

You could route all three tracks through one Aux and then apply the EQ automation you want to the Aux track so that all three tracks get the same EQ.

As far as making the settings change...

Re: Need a little help with DSP issues.

You may want to take note of what plugins you are having that problem with. It could be a plugin version problem.

If it is a Digidesign distributed plugin, try running the plugin updater on the...

Re: Will zero latency really be possible?

I'm not sure that true "0" latency is possible on a host based system presently, however the amount of latency that may (or may not) experience on a 001 is not only minimal but adjustable.

The...

Re: Media Composer/A.V. OMF

Re: 3 short questions about 1622.

If you are able to see the inputs of the 1622 but not the outputs you may want to try to reset the I/O labels (setup menu, I/O labels select the outputs option and hit reset). If this doesn't work I...

Re: What\'s the deal w/ DigiTranslator?

Digi Translator is a stand alone application that is included with the AV Option but it is also available separately for $495 list price.

Yes, using Digi Translator you can send a Pro Tools...

Re: urgent backup issue

You could do it with the Digi 001 and Pro Tools LE. It's got an Adat light pipe input and output on the PCI card. If I'm not mistaken it's cheaper than the Adat Bridge option and the 2408 option.

Re: 7300/180 with PT5??

With out looking at the compatibility sheet I can't remember but I don't think the 7300 was tested at all with Pro Tools 5.0 and that is probably the reason you don't see it there.

If you are able...

Re: crashes

Type -2 error suggests RAM and the 9073 disk too slow or fragmented could be a few things.

Check the amount of RAM you have in your system and the RAM allocation to DAE and to Pro Tools. You...

Re: ML 1.3 and the 001

You are correct, you need an upgrade to Masterlist CD. The upgrade will not allow MLCD to access the 001, per se, it will allow MLCD to run without any Digidesign hardware at all.

Two digit error codes in Masterlist CD are actually error codes MLCD is reporting from the CD burner not from the MLCD software.

You should contact the CD burner manufacturer for more info on...

Re: d24 won\'t see 888/24

What Tom said AND the card order could be causing that. If the either one of the farm cards is a Mix Farm then it (or they if both are) will be the "lead" cards. In other words, the 888 should...

Re: 7200/120 w.PT5

Unfortunaely, there have been some cases where the first install of Pro Tools 5.0 will appear to crash but if you let it sit for a while (sometimes as long as 30 to 45 minutes) it will launch. Once...

I don't think any of the scenarios you mention have been tested or will be tested but here's my two cents on it...

The G3 processor probably won't be a problem.

Mac OS 8.6,...
