That was originally the case but a few years ago Avid added the MTRX with it's own hardware profile (using the same for both MTRX Studio and MTRX.) So it no longer emulates one of the other...

I use a Dell U3821DW. It's 38" widescreen, slight curve, 3840x1600.

DADman, Control app, talkback engaging

With the current version fo DADman and the current version of Control/Eucontrol, when the Control app/Eucontrol locks to DADman, talkback is being engaged.
"Talkback on" is not saved in the DADman...

I think v-control has been affected by the recent abandoning of the M-Audio control driver by Avid/Pro Tools. So that may be useless at the moment anyway.

If you don't have a full-size keyboard with page up/down keys, you can always just put a marker at the beginning and end to jump there faster with no scrolling.

You've mentioned a lot of stuff but you haven't mentioned what your audio interface is. Your issues sound like a problem with the playback hardware (your audio interface or its drivers or its setup)

Don't need MIDI 2.0
Other DAWS (for decades) allow far more than 16 channels/device because that was a hardware standard and VIs aren't bound by this.

It's not done because people were taking advantage of that. They would open Pro Tools and then move the ilok to a different computer and open Pro Tools thereby giving both Pro Tools full licensing...
