I had the same behavior with 2021.6. I’m on a M1 Mac Mini. All previous version of PT were butter. I went back to 2021.3 and I have none of those issue. Every thing is smooth and easy.

Not a scam.
Avid announced their new prices and subscriptions long ago. They’re totally subscription based now with Pro Tools. I don’t like it either but it is what it is.

It right there on the Avid page. They don’t offer reinstatement for expired perpetual license support plans.

You’ll have to move to a subscription plan.

Running it on M1 Mini. No issue. Sessions are running just like 2020.12.

The add track naming box is fixed. I’m still not feeling dark mode.

Yeah it’s a push to flush out the perp users.
My update plan expires in Aug 2021. If no other attractive updates happen between now and August I’m not renewing. I’ll take my $199 and get more plugs...

I just got back into Logic after getting the M1 Mini. I was Logic 7,8 and 9 so it didn’t take long to get a handle on it. It’s a great creative DAW but I prefer to mix in PT. I do plan on mixing in...

I hope they either lighten up dark mode or give the user control to adjust the darkness.

Another M1 observation. It seems as though AAX plugins play nicer than AU plugins.

Addictive Drums 2 is fine in PT but in Logic Pro it’s a blank GUI although the drums will play. Same with Slate...

I fully expected to do any PT work on my 2011 iMac and not the M1 Mini. I haven’t powered up the iMac since getting the M1...
