My only suggestion would be to look on the Avid website and make sure you have the right driver installed for your interface/OS. That sounds like that would fix your problem. I had an old driver...

Also, I downloaded iFCB but the only midi interface I have is my Axiom 25. You can't get the fcb1010 to talk thru the Axiom so I can't program with iFCB...

The only thing is, every time I record new audio I have to zoom out of the waveform to make it look normal. It becomes a hassle to have to zoom out every region each time.

Waveform problem

I'm recording an audio track and instead of a clean looking waveform, I'm getting block-ish looking regions. It's not a waveform at all.
