Sure. However, the poster referred to it as both a Sync I/o as well as an HD Sync. Still curious as to which box he actually owned.

I'm just wondering what ever came of this. I have recently been wrestling with getting an HDX system online. We are changing it up and deciding to go HD Native instead of the HDX.

One work around is to use Finder to copy and rename file then import. Huge pain and totally a time killer.

Admin has nothing to do with the problem for me. Its a name length issue.

Can you import any audio files?

I am having a similar issue while trying to import from my sound library. I have found some info about importing troubles with file names longer than 31 characters...

It may be a bit remedial but check the Audio Preferences in Reason. I was having the same issue until I realized that I had Reason trying output to Digi Core Audio.

I have also tried all new cables without luck. I plugged in an MBox that I own and the problem disappeared, which makes me think its an internal failure. If anyone figures anything out keep us...

I also am having the exact same problem. I think that it must be a hardware failure because the right channel distortion is coming from all outputs (tape out, headphone, etc.)
