Bump and update:

reinstalled OSX update. Found some new issues.

I went back to an older computer to make sure the 003 interface was okay and it was. This older computer had a bad firewire...

Unfortunately no. As I think about it, this update also had a qurik to it as well. The machine restarted after the update but hung on reboot and needed to be manually rebooted. Perhaps I'll see if...
