Re: Feature request: automatch arrows on channel strip screen

I found this thread looking to see if this was included in the recent release. It has been over a year since I used the S3 but should be using one in the near future. I remember that being a...

Re: can korg nano control be used for VCA-faders?

Yeah it would certainly work for you then. Sounds like a good plan.

I would be nice if you could have multiple iPads to have multiple instances of PT Control. I'd love having a dedicated iPad for...

Re: can korg nano control be used for VCA-faders?

I have a friend who uses the nano control for solos and mutes. It should work but would be pretty useless for volume rides. If you have an iPad there is a free Pro Tools that might work for your...

Re: Understanding an "in the box" dubbing workflow

This is exactly what blue mode is for, which is for HDX systems. However I follow the same procedure on my HD Native system and haven't found any delay on my printed masters. And it has been that way...

Re: Soft Key Programming issue

You may need to add a lot more pauses into your macro. Lots of times it is doing everything right but it does them too quickly, before the computer can respond.

I have similar macros to these and...

Re: OT Aja io Express PCIe > Faulty unit?

Definitely give the AJA support a call. They are great. I have an AJA card and it has made a world of difference in my setup. When I first installed it I could not get it working but the support them...

Re: PT shortcuts and batch commands on Android

I use TouchOSC and Keyboard Maestro on Mac. You should check out Lemur. Even more powerful than TouchOSC. Cross platform. Works great.

Re: Feature Request: Controller 'Layouts'

Layouts on the S6 include knob functionality and layout. It is great! So it can has been done, but I wouldn't be surprised if it is a feature reserved for that console.

Re: Suggestions appreciated for getting a video setup off the ground

-Your CPU is going to take a hit no matter what. Pro Tools isn't really designed to harness the power of your video card like a video editing or VFX software would. In my experience replacing a video...

Re: Suggestions appreciated for getting a video setup off the ground

First off congrats! That's an exciting opportunity. You will learn a great deal on your first film. Take advantage of this chance. Everything you've asked has been discussed many times before, but to...

Re: 'Spill' great new plug for post

This looks like a awesome plugin and I'm surprised it hadn't been done much, much sooner.

I also used the spill features on the Calrec consoles when I used to mix broadcast. I'm missed it in Pro...

Re: Surround Setup

Pro Tools has been able to use core audio with PTHD since version 9. When they did away with Pro Tools LE and the hardware dependency, they opened up core audio for both vanilla and HD.

I used to...

Re: PT 12.6 HD and the 003, will it work?

You haven't needed HD hardware to run the HD software for years, since version 9 of Pro Tools. Same time the opened up Pro Tools LE to third parties. It has been compatible with any Core audio or...

Re: HD Omni and 5.1 Surround Monitoring Question

I think it is really a shame that Avid hasn't developed their interfaces with some of the features as their competitors. They sound amazing. For example, they should have built that remote for the...

Re: HD Omni and 5.1 Surround Monitoring Question

I built in some speakers mutes, dims, and mute into my template. Not that you need overall dim and mute for the omni, but when I take my session to multiple stages its easy to have them, if needed. ...

Re: Object-based automation

Frank, I'm not seeing where you see that the $999 includes 3 years. As it has been and still seems to stand, if you aren't already on a support plan you can get up to date (9HD and higher) for $999. ...

Re: I need major help ASAP Please! 3rd party Daw's not seeing PT Native HD Interface

Yes it is a known bug. If you need that functionality you should roll back your OS to Mavericks. Yosemite and El Cap Core Audio drivers don't work with Avid hardware. Or you could use the optical...
