Re: Tips for External Hard/Drive???

I've had very good luck with the Lacie product line. You can get them with all 3 connections.

Re: DIGI FEEDBACK: \'Real Time\' Bounces-Time Effective?

I'm with you, would love to see the end of real time bouncing. If you're using outboard gear then is could certainly be a selectable option. Also all in favour of being able to bounce with cue points...

Hey all, I've been running my Lacie FW 500G Drive in LE successfully at 800 (6.4 and 6.7, I know that Digi recommends 400) I've had problems with 800 with an HD system in the studio I work in, but...

Re: DUC Quick Poll: G5 Rear FW Port/ 002

Another question. In HD Digi has said to run only at 400 FW. I have been running my Lacie 500G FW drive at 800 with few problems (that I can attribute to the drive) LE 6.7 since xmas. Next question...

Re: Firewire reliability

I've been using the D2 Big Disk Extreme 500 G through the FW 800 on my G5 as well.
Been 5 months and no problems at all (touch wood)
I've always had good luck with Lacie stuff and Macs.
My 2...

Re: Record mix to 2 tracks

Thanks Rin, the "import after bounce" is a great solution. (as my daughter would say to me "duh")
The 32 mix and the 24 bus raises some interesting questions as well.
This 5.1 now 6.1 (and 7.1)...

Record mix to 2 tracks

Re: G5 shuts down at once

I have had the same problem in the past with my single pro 1.6 rig. I found out on another user group that there were problems with the original power supply. After much whining and sitting on hold I...

Thanks Brian, that's great advice and some good tips as well. Appreciate your help. I've got credit card in hand and Auto Tune seems to be the way to go.
Here's a virtual beer on me!

Pitch Correction

Hey all, In the past I've used an outboard pitch correction box (Antares) but it's fairly old and I've heard good things about some of the plug-ins. Any suggestions/warnings about specific plug-ins....

Re: Mic Pres on the 002

I agree that the 002 pre's are passable, but if you a/b them against a decent outboard mic pre you'll hear a marked difference. There are some great deals on EBay. Avalon is my personal favourite,...

Re: G5 firmware update - bad news for me

Re: G5 firmware update - bad news for me
