Yes again many thanks for the attention.

I've had a gut feeling about the video card from day one. Like I said Pro Tools is running crisp and stout (except for the hard crashes)

I've always had a gut feeling about a video card problem.

The card is a ASUS EAX1600PRO.

Greetings all,

Just built a Quad based on the specs provided here.

Running PT 7.3.1cs5.

I have configured based on all the optimization guides I trust. It's a pretty lean machine right now....
