Re: Melodyne ARA and PT's transport

Excellent thought! But, alas, nothing is assigned to the = key. To be clear, hitting "=" does nothing in Melodyne. It DOES properly highlight the measure field of the PT transport. And you can cycle...

Melodyne ARA and PT's transport

I typically navigate in PT by hitting the "=" key on my num pad and then entering the measure number manually. However, I'm finding that if the Melodyne ARA panel has focus, I can still ENTER the...

Re: Delete multiple takes at once?

Discovered something interesting! Let's say you're comping a track and thus you're viewing it in playlist mode. And let's say that, through cutting and pasting pieces of different playlists, you end...

Re: Force interleaved files on Save Copy?

Yeah... does Avid actually look at IdeaScale for more than comic relief? :-) I'll post it soon regardless. The fact is, non-interleaved files are on their way out, aren't they? So I doubt they'll...

Re: Force interleaved files on Save Copy?

Thanks for the response—that is indeed the tool I'm using (see the attachment I uploaded in an earlier post in this thread). I use Save Copy all the time, specifically to force PT to write out audio...

Re: Force interleaved files on Save Copy?

Apologies, Shane—didn't read to the bottom, which is very unlike me! :-) Thanks—good to know that consolidating after changing the interleaved status in the Session Setup window will created...

Re: Force interleaved files on Save Copy?

Thanks, Shane. I tried doing that exact thing, i.e., changing the "source" session (the one from which I'm trying to make the copy) from non-interleaved to interleaved within the "Session Setup"...

Re: Force interleaved files on Save Copy?

Sorry about the sig info—just updated it! I'm doing Save Copy. I've attached a screenshot of the dialogue box that comes up—I see "Convert to Specified Format" but I don't see how to specify...

Force interleaved files on Save Copy?

Hi all,

I periodically find myself with a session that has paired-mono files. When I deliver I want to create a session with interleaved stereo files. Since "interleaved/non-interleaved" does not...

Re: Delete multiple takes at once?

Yeah, you're right— "unused" playlists should be called "unassigned" playlists. But your suggestion re deleting playlists that way will come in handy—thanks!

Re: Delete multiple takes at once?

Hadn't thought of that—worth a shot! I guess the question is how well it tracks emptiness—will a playlist that had regions but no longer does come up as unused? But thanks! The names shouldn't be a...

Re: Delete multiple takes at once?

No, sorry—the list on the right is clips. I'm talking about deleting multiple takes for one track, displayed in playlist mode in the main part of the edit window. Different thing! But thanks for the...

Re: Delete multiple takes at once?

Thanks for the reply—that works for multiple tracks, not for multiple playlists assigned to one track and displayed in playlist mode. Sadly!

Delete multiple takes at once?

When I'm recording multiple takes of a vocal, each time I want to do a new take I have the engineer duplicate the most recent take (so I can punch into the most current version of my "working comp"...

Re: converting Sd2 files to wav on mac?

Yep, well aware of that. Mostly I was pointing out the irony that the current DP release allows you access to the old Digi soundfile format whereas PT 12 couldn't be bothered. How hard would it have...

Re: converting Sd2 files to wav on mac?

If you just want to convert SDII audio files (as opposed to importing session data from a PT file), believe it or not, Digital Performer will convert the SDII audio files on import (I'm using 9.12)....

Re: Pro Tools | HD Annual Upgrade and Support Plan Reinstatement

Along with, as I've said, a sentence along the lines of "WARNING! If you pass the grace period you will have to sell your first-born in order to be able to afford to get back in."

Re: Pro Tools | HD Annual Upgrade and Support Plan Reinstatement

Yeah, I realize that the "I just passed the deadline" argument won't apply here. :-) The "I would have renewed had I known how onerous the consequences would be" is my only shot... Thx!

Re: Pro Tools | HD Annual Upgrade and Support Plan Reinstatement

LOL! So true! What's bizarre is it LOOKS like an expensive, well-designed website. It's just so, so not.

Re: Pro Tools | HD Annual Upgrade and Support Plan Reinstatement

Yeah.. I'm probably beyond the grace period, but worth a try. When I click "renew," though, I'm just taken to my "My Account" homepage. In your case, were you taken directly to the store? Or am I...

Re: Pro Tools | HD Annual Upgrade and Support Plan Reinstatement

Thanks for your response. I’m sure you’re right that the info has been on the website all along, and obviously you're also right that the info is on this forum. I admit, I don’t check this forum...

Re: Pro Tools | HD Annual Upgrade and Support Plan Reinstatement

Completely mind-blowing. I'm in the same situation (let my HD support plan lapse, having NO IDEA about the existence of the insanely high reinstatement fee). What's so odd about this policy is that...

Re: Time Shift plug-in render problem

Thanks to both of you for responding. Yes, Time Shift is strangely named—but it is indeed a much more sophisticated pitch shifting plug-in than Pitch Shift (you'll note that it's grouped with the...
