Re: Making a M7CL sound worth a damn
Scoot, can you explain the routing you did on the M7?
As far as I can discern there is no delay compensation (are we talking <2ms?)
So no routing back to a "delay comp channel" ?
TIA
Joon

Heya Bruce, still out with DF?
The band own a Avalon 737SM that I'm going to pop on the $ vocal and I'll just use the onboard dynamics / FX and try some upwards compression.
I was pretty pissed...

FWIW, Jon Monson @ RAT Sound is on somewhat the same quest as me.
Jon sent me this:
And this from Justin @ Clair:
So obviously I am not the only one who is on this path.

Re: Making a M7CL sound worth a damn
I understand the shortcomings of the console itself. It is no PM5D, nor is it anywhere near a D-show. Hence my post looking for solutions. If I CAN try to get better performance out of it, why not?...

OK, this is making sense now that I went back and watched it again. I was slightly confused on the routing.
FYI, when you watch the archive you can skip right to the upwards compression part by...

Re: Upwards Compression
I saw it as whatever you want to drive with the aux would go to your 'processing' and returned back as a compressed / effected signal to blend with the dry or 'un-processed' signal.

LOL! :D
I started this thread to spark some discussion of what VENUE users would like to see the "User" button do.
Some type of user defined content would be nice.
