Well, I changed to a 6i6 for starters and then went to back to Win 7. Have a plug in the onboard audio out jack. PT works if I remember to restart it between projects.

Thanks for that info...will stick a headphone plug into that and see if that does the trick. Appreciate all the help.

Appreciate you taking the time to help. Same thing continues to happen. In control panel/sound I made certain the UR44 was set to not be taken over completely by any software.

Did that, dialog does come up. Changed to UR44. All should have worked. Tried to load up project and got the same response. "Pro Tools cannot initialize your audio device...."
