I would not bet for that as their are several problems with Sandy Bridge Performance on the i7 rel 2 when it comes to audio performance!

First I think its unfair to compare a i3 to a i7!

Nevertheless the Macbook Pro is hitting 6796 at Geekbench and the iMac 5737!

Otherwise they are very similar when it comes to CPU...
