I also have error 6 sometimes. For me the solution is, as recommended in a thread here on the DUC, deleting the wavecache file in the session folder.

Worth a try, I guess.

I am also in the process of getting a new PC.
A technician told me that in Win 10 you have higher latencies than in Win 7.

Avid seems to recommend not to use certain buffer settings in Win 10...
