I was the same, never bothered with Reason and Logic in 5.5 just too much hassle.

In 6.0 - full Rewire 2. Rewire is a new type of audio track, and it lists all the Rewire outputs.

Instead create an aux track, set the input to be the input you have the synth plugged into and you'll hear the synth when you play midi.

This allows you to shorten or lengthen the duration of a piece of audio (time stretching).

On windows, you really need another soundcard to use battery and PT, or use something like Cubase initially (as this supports VST), using the ASIO driver, then switch to PT.

There seems to be some confusion here -

ASIO is a Steinberg standard for audio drivers, since also adopted by Emagic and various other coders.

ASIO offers far lower latency than Direct X/MME...

Therefore, on a PT24 system - no HTDM.
