Next time use the MPC click and roll off all the top end - you can really turn it up loud then, and it...

Using Lucid ADA8824 with Digi 192?

Does anybody use this combination? I'm thinking about buying the Lucid ADA 8824 for an extra 8 inputs or extra 8 outputs as needed. Doesn't cost much more that a single (extra) Digi AD or DA card...

MIDI record question

This is probably a very simple setting - but how do I change MIDI recording from overdub (adding to existing notes, which it is doing now) to overwrite (where it will totally replace existing notes,...

Re: OSX backup SW - Retropect alternative?

Hey Steve,

Try restarting before you start your backups. There is some kind of weird bug with OSX and Retro that pertains to one of the .dbb files. At the end of the day, I re-start my computer...

Re: MDW installer ver 1.1 does not work properly

I had this same problem. Thanks for the tip. I never removed 1.0 before I ran the updater, and therefore could never get it change to 1.1. Messed with it for a while and gave up. I need the 1.1...

Re: Anyone Use an SSL Compressor?

I do both - I mix through an SSL (Alan Smart) and then to 1/2" or 1" analog. I just have to have that tape sound to glue it all together...

If you go that route, the SSL is definitely worth it...

Re: GML Preamp 8300...advices please

You can't go wrong with GML. The 8300 would compliment your other preamps nicely, and would sound great with either micrphone you mentioned. It is much less colored than the UA, very neutral...

Re: Warning I\'ve never seen Cmn_interval cpp,line 103

I've had that happen before too. It is some type of corruption of the seesion file. In my case I traced it down to a corrupted edit/fade. You can try to create a new session and then import all...

Re: \"Your computer need to be restarted\".....

I've seen this a few times on my dual 867, but only when running SCSI UW drives - never with a Firwire, so for me, that seemed to be the issue.

Good luck with it...

Re: Super Audio CD

Well put, Froyo. And I believe that in about 5 years people won't give a rat's ass about any cd. The only way to go will be to marry it with DVD-A.

I simply know too many people who if they do...

Re: Super Audio CD

Once you go PCM, does that render the "advantages" of DSD obsolete? I know the SACD releases I have done have been all analog up to the point of mixing where it went through DSD (Meitner) conversion...

Re: 6.1 is very unstable on MAC too ... Digi please ..

Try just copying the Audio files only - that solved it for me - and I found I didn't...
