So is it the case that both the new 8.0.4 drivers AND the new 8.0.3 software are not compatible with the mbox? Or is it just one of the two?

So since protools will currently install mbox drivers on windows 7, you guys think its possible that maybe upgrading to 8.0.3 wont affect the drivers that work?

I agree in the case of desktops, laptops are another story. However almost every other DAW supports 64-bit, so its not like we're asking for too much.

The computer market (especially laptops) is pushing 64-bit hard. So supporting 64-bit will allow you to run into best buy and pick up any new laptop without specifically identifying 32-bit OS on it....

The cpu is the only thing that needs to be able to handle 64-bit code. All the modern stuff is 64-bit compatible except maybe the lowest level processors.
