Yes, stop using Avid Cloud storage. As you say there are warnings all over the web about this being very buggy. So why are you using it? There are lots of great DAWS to choose from, pick another one....

Unclear which of all the different LaCie Rugged HDD or SSD models you are talking about. A thunderbolt one is not going to work (as Thunderbolt) if you cannot chain the Thunderbolt devices you have....

There is no generic "patcher utility" that fixes stuff, the fundamental issue is new device support, GPU, LCD screen, keyboard, CPU, all at least slightly different... and be careful looking for...

^^ yep. But please make sure that Pro Tools is actually starting up as HD (finds the correct HD license). That is the simplest explanation why you are not seeing DigiLink hardware.

Avid *has* abandoned this device. That's exactly what they have done, and they've made that clear. It's end of life. You should not be expecting any software updates.

Avid Link like its predecessor is super fragile and buggy. You are just creating problems for yourself. Uninstall Link and download your plugins from your Avid Account and install them manually.

You are asking about the bit depth, not really the the bit rate (OK the bit rate changes with bit depth art fixed sample rate, but still...). Which may be why you are not finding anything. Folks do...
