Version 2.1 (currently in App Store review) fixes the issue which prevented it working on iOS 14.

It looks like it is an issue with iOS 14 and broadcast packets, which are used to discover DADman. I am working on it and will update this thread when fixed.

No worries, enjoy! The new version of Pro Tools | Control pretty much does the same thing as the MOM app, too, so that's an alternative.

I just checked again and it worked for me – sounds like you've done everything correctly. Try removing the controller from the Mom tab in Monitor Profile Configuration, and re-add...

There's still an issue with DADman not dealing gracefully with MOMs that come and go from the network....

Ah yes, I didn't read your message closely enough and was conflating the meter information (presumably reported by the MTRX/AX32 to DADman/TMC-1) with the current monitor gain reported by DADman back...

Ah great! I did update the firmware/DADman the other day, but have only done a quick regression test with the app.

BTW the coming version supports Bluetooth input devices, so you can for example...

Thanks, it’s great that someone else finds it useful! (Perhaps an iPod Touch would be an alternative?)

I’ve notified DAD about the reconnection issue a while back, but haven’t heard anything back...

My plan is to make all the button labels assignable (and also have a generic mode where they're not coloured or grouped into sources/outputs), as after all they are assignable to absolutely anything...

Agreed on both points. And yes, EuCon between S3/EuControl and DADman is also a bit on the flakey side. Another reason I bought a hardware MOM (and wrote the software one). I haven't heard anything...

True – I've actually thought of having a little Windows machine running DADman that I could VNC into, but that's an expense I can't justify right now. At least the AX32/MTRX do continue to pass audio...

I haven’t looked in much detail at the protocol between DADman and the AX32/MTRX but it could in theory be done. But I’d be less enthused about running a replacement for DADman in a production...

Yeah, doing something more involved might be possible I guess – but it would likely involve injecting code inside of DADman and be correspondingly more fragile. Or, you could replace DADman entirely...

It’s their own protocol, fairly straightforward to analyze as it’s all ASCII. I figured it out by watching traffic between my hardware MOM and DADman.

I believe that Pro Tools | Control will support monitor source and output selection eventually (via EuCon, which DADman supports). It does already support volume and cut.
