how about just buying some "fast fret" and applying it to the strings. the strings are a little "slick" but that usually takes care of the squeaks for me.

i feel your pain. i had been working on PT6 cuz the interface was so much better.

no joke...in the last month of recording...i have had my PT6 "totally shut down OS X" at least 20...
