Currently I have my powered monitors (Solo6 BE) connected to the Monitor Output jacks of my Digi 002r. Sounds great, and I can use the front panel volume knob to change the loudness of the monitors....

Yes, thanks. The picture is for my mp3-playing program. I can make the same changes for my whole system by going to the Sound Control panel.

Yeah, I see the list of playback devices as shown in the screenshot above.

Can you complete your answer? After I select the 002 as my playback device, then what? Do I have to have Pro Tools open...

Don't turn off hyperthreading in the BIOS if you want to see/use all cores.
