I got the email and all was fine, I do not have any 3rd party licenses just ones from Avid or directly from the various plugin software companies.

I would have thought the max would be the $299 10-11 upgrade, hoping seeing as my 10 HD upgrade was north of $1000 that it would be cheaper. I could just upgrade to 11 HD for $599

What would be the price to upgrade from PT 10 NATIVE HD to PT 11. One could use "Vanilla" PT 11 to compose and bounce VI's and then mix in 10 HD. A solution maybe for composers whose main issue is...

The only answer I have come up with is to host ALL Vi's in VEPro. This is a very stable way around the issue. I know its ridiculous but after suffering all of the above type issues it worked for me....

No such thing as a dumb question PT land:D

In general any VI (with the exception of Indigo which was TDM ) is RTAS, meaning it runs natively in Protools rather than on a TDM/HDX chip.

Protools can act weird with an errant plugin just sitting in your plugins folder, even if it is not loaded. In theory with VEPro you don't need any third party VIs in your PT plugin folder if are...

The perceived wisdom is to use the Stereo dithered mixer for non surround mixes.

Long shot but worth a go, change the mixer plugin, its either surround mixer/stereo mixer/stereo dither mixer in your plug ins folder. The other ones should be in your Unused plugins folder....

The only time I have seen this is with Ozone 5. I got the demo and this exact same scenario happened. Something strange going on there. Upped buffers and it went away.

Might sound silly, launch Core audio and toggle buffer settings (512 to 256 and back)or whatever. This works in PT10 when Logic can't see native card.
